However, we've made it a priority to manage the materials we collect actively. Our approach is driven by a goal to recycle and reuse as much as possible, ensuring that we leave a positive legacy for future generations.
Why Sustainable Practices Matter?
Did you know that construction and demolition (C&D) activities contribute to over a quarter of the waste in Wisconsin landfills? This staggering amount includes materials like wood, shingles, and concrete. By diverting C&D debris away from landfills, we can significantly reduce our environmental impact.
Fortunately, there is good news: a wide variety of these materials are recyclable or reusable. Our mission is to separate these valuable resources from mixed waste, allowing them to be repurposed effectively.
What We Recycled
In our recent bleacher demolition dumpster project, the contractor carefully dismantled the structure by hand, allowing us to recover and recycle all the metal components associated with the bleachers. This meticulous process significantly minimized waste. We also salvaged a remarkable 1,800 feet of wooden bleacher boards, giving them a second chance rather than sending them to the landfill.
